We have been designing and creating our high grade specimens collected through our annual travels through Mexico's unique mercados, in Mexico City and Chiapas, as well as the mines of Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Jalisco, Chihuahua and other areas of México.

Since 2004 we have made many friends in the fire agate, opal and obsidian industry, working directly with the miners - sharing ideas and splitting profits with them and their families. We also enjoy meeting the many gemstone dealers and world travelers that come through México, buying and trading stones of unique, rare and special pieces of gem grade flawless quality.

We have two sister sites on the internet, MexicoGemstones.com - that sells mainly rocks, minerals and fossil specimens from Mexico and other countries from around the globe. Our mother site CasaDeMexico.com is a tribute to Mexico's natural beauty, old world artistic and prehispanic cultural lifestyle. With a showcase of unique handmade jewelry and art craft items created by some talented and creative artesanos we have befriended over the years.

We consider ourselves visual creative designers, intrepeting stone designs and textures to create unique one-of-a-kind pieces that we ourselves would be proud to own and have in our collection - but you can only have so many stones, so we like to think of Aztec Moon is our collection online that we are sharing with others who enjoy beautiful stones and gems. Like an amiga in Australia once told us... "not all stones are for all people, each stone has a certain destination to be with a special person."  Which we agree with 100%; as sometimes we sell some beautiful stones that we would love to keep for our personal collection, but it isn't in nature's ultimate plan.
